Republicans Block Windall Taxes on Big Oil?
Can you believe that the GOP Republicans have blocked increasing taxes on Big Oil companies profits that have been made over the last couple of months. It was a democratic proposal that was to seek a 25% increase in taxes on "unreasonable profits" of the five largest oil companies that have made $36 BILLION dollars during the first three months of this year. Our economy is in a recession and Americans are losing their homes. And the Republicans want to stay in the White House? Washington is broke and it needs new faces who are leaders!

Spring to Summer Annual Rite of Passage
Today was a beautiful day, in the 80's here in Falmouth on Cape Cod. Hot and Humid. Just yesterday it was 68 degrees and cool. My annual Spring to Summer ritual is to go to Falmouth Heights and get in the water as soon as I was able (to get the winter stink off!). Nantucket Sound is still a bit cold (60 degrees?) but I managed to dive in anyways to cool off. Summer has officially arrived! Tourists have arrived and Falmouth High school is having its annual graduation. More signs that Summer has definitely arrived!! (I got a sunburn- another sign that summer has arrived!)
